Matthieu Schaller

I am an assistant professor in numerical cosmology at the Lorentz Institute for theoretical physics and Leiden Observatory, where I work on the development and analysis of cosmological simulations.

My research focuses the development of numerical simulation tools for cosmology and astrophysics, mainly the SWIFT code and associated packages, as well as the preparation, running, and analysis of galaxy formation and cosmology simulations, such as the EAGLE, SIBELIUS, FLAMINGO, and COLIBRE projects.

I lecture the Computational Physics Course (3EC and 6EC) as part of the master program in physics.
